Poem

In a toxic world of misery my mind aches at a shameful way we disguise the 
offending thoughts that we think. Today I saw myself, outside myself, looking at 
every form that surrounded me. Through my eyes I have seen that misery, only longing for the peace that I have once seen. When I find myself, I'll free myself, never stopping ever again. In a world I'm stuck escaping what people see as reality. Hiding from what they are afraid to confront. One must face their own  
demons to grow strong in their power, only to stop and try all over again. Sufficient minds intertwined with feelings and dreams, leave me in madness, an 
unressurected sadness. Unbelievable in thought, though quite distraught, I once 
again feel free from a need to be anyone else other than me. My eyes have shifted, once again I'm uplifted to my Higher Power. One greater than human. 
Lower myself? I will not. The blinders that be, leave my demons at bay, and only 
today have I learned what I needed to say. Be the one that you were born to be, living a life carefree, without all that useless misery.
