Part III – Voice of the Inner Child I feel such sweet sorrow… From where has it come? A friend… I have one, do I not? Yes, I do… Perhaps my friend is in my hand… No, my friend is not here. Well then, where did she go? I do not know. Can anyone ever truly know? The warmth… It is spreading… I feel it in my heart now. How long has it been? My Heart… My Soul… Where are you? I do not know… Can anyone ever truly know? I feel… a sting in my heart. It hurts, but I want it to stay. How strange… Sweet pain... It feels like home… I remember home… How did I forget it? My Opium… A thunderclap of realization A shower of tears A hand clutching nothing Where is your hand? It is still in mine… But it is not truly there Or maybe it is more tangible now Than it ever was… Part IV – Innocence Lost What is this I feel? It seems so vague yet so clear Like a thousand suns shining their Everlasting light on a consuming darkness The darkness remains but is not truly there What is light? What is dark? No one can ever truly know... The warmth has consumed me But it is the warmth of pain Pain that fills with such sweet bliss It is not fading... It is getting stronger... Or am I fading? I am fading... But I am not fading into nothing I am fading into existence But what existence shall it be? Will I become complete Or will I become a shell? I can't find my friend Such warmth of embrace... My friend... Do you know? I can't find anyone... Was anyone ever there? Yes... I remember... I remember innocence lost... Can I remember something That I may have never had? All these faces staring at me Whose faces are they? They are mine... Heralds of Light Messengers of my past Bearers of Sorrow Deceivers... Dreamers... Demons... Hear them laugh Hear them weep What are they saying? I hear their agonies For they are mine I feel their joys For they were once mine... Part V – The Final Embrace My chasms are echoing with a voice It sounds so very familiar It sounds so harmonious Like the floating notes of a Hundred trumpets of Heaven... It echoes throughout the borderless expanses It resonates through my very being to ancient times It grips me... lifts me... fills me I fall... or perhaps I am soaring... Where am I going? I do not know Can anyone ever truly know? I am flying to my Final Embrace
