Scientists are telling you, 
that as the world gets hotter,
the damage to the earth,
will gets worse, 

Fossil fuel is destroying,
the ozone layer,
and yet like an ostrich,
we bury our heads in the sand.

Once you have opened the toothpaste,
you can't put the lid on the bottle,
at least, that's the excuse,
we all like driving cars and flying

Once we know how 
to create these things
we can't go back 
to living without 

At least, that's the excuse, 
behind a lack of action,
yet we don't have to give up cars, 
just change the type of fuel,

people play games with methanol,
or ethanol but still the cost is death,
both fuel still give off carbon gas
destroying the ozone layer

Fires rage through the bush,
destroying peoples lives
destroying house's 
destroying crops,

yet still we do not change
cars can run on electricity
we could change our cars
we could create solar power

yet we do not change, 
our population will double,
people will starve, 
people will fight to survive,

and still we do not change,
Jesus warned in revelations,
if you treat each other like this, 
in a green tree, 

how will you treat each other,
in a dry tree,
we are building the dry tree,
now is the time to change,

crops will die, 
and farms will be lost,
yet governments turn their backs,
afraid of destroying the financial economy 

Afraid of destroying jobs
The coal industry provides jobs
the coal industry provides an income
for the Australian economy

Our economy is to important,
We can not afford to lose jobs,
and with that I would agree,
but surely we can start making, 

Changes that improve our lives,
and slowly phase out fossil fuel,
people say oil companies, won't change, 
but their children,will suffer as well,

invest in a life with a future,
that's what I think we should try,
invest in a life with a future, 
and take all our problems away,

start working together united,
invest in creating new job's,
then guide the growth of our country's,
using our brains, to build plans.

Encourage people to join together
investing in new companies 
The Gas company fought against 
the development of the light bulb

Yet with embracing new technology
look how far we have come
we need to create jobs for people 
but those jobs could also be developed

To overcome carbon pollution 
to embrace clean technologies  
to invest in a life with a future
a future that makes our world healthy
