Poem

for a while now, i have been kissing the yuletide vibration of your memory
i have been placing a wreath on the diamond door hook of your symbolism 
i have been putting up Christmas lights as a tributary stream of hope for myself
i have been wishing that could just wrap my daydreams as a present and somehow make you magically appear
progression in life has a way of leading to an amazing type of clarity after a slip here and a slide there like defiant snow
a Blessing from God has a way of encouraging the brain to dig deeper in pictorial thought
i admit that certain Christmases i was submissive and subservient to the selfish side of my buried wishbones
now that i am older and a bit more travelled, the philosophies within me are stirring the dusty limbs of my growth like a warm space heater to the flesh
i have come to be thankful moreso for the here and the now while simultaneously embracing the root teachings in memoriam and prayer
nowadays, as i place the flowers on the plates and graves, i thank them and love them for all that they gave....and forget about me for a god lil bit....
Merry Christmas, sweet roots, i hope to continue to grow, learn, and embrace the true meaning of the Treetop Connection even more....
....for the rest of My Time on this earth....
