Poem

I hate to talk about this subject,,,it usually makes me cry,
and i would rather search for the love in it than to feel the pain inside,
remembering you as you once were, praying with me and tucking me into bed,
singing songs to me and reading me stories, the smiles and laughter in my head,
i remember the heartache and saw your tears the day that mom took us away,
you shut off the smiles, the laughter was gone, our visits weren't the same,
i would always tell you i loved you and you would never say it back to me,
i would smush your face with kisses and hugs and hang on you constantly,
and as the years went by, you still remained to act the same,
so i packed up all of my belongings and came to live with you to stay,
i know your in there somewhere...and i will stay beside you until you can see,
and when i look into your eyes i know in my heart how much you do love me,
somewhere deep inside you..the pain of love took you away,
but daddy, i will always love you, and show you everyday,
i will never leave you, you can get mad and yell all that you want,
you can leave this world kicking and screaming, but you cannot shake this love in my heart,
i will hold your hand until the very last breath you breathe upon this earth,
and i will look into your eyes and tell you i love you, i will always be your girl.
