Poem

The snowman Jason built was of extraordinary size
From the tip of his black top hat to his huge bulbous thighs
Jason’s greatest challenge was finding something for the eyes 
But no buttons were big enough; he had to improvise

Mom watched as he scurried through the house, searching for supplies
From the freezer Jason tossed out frozen peas and French fries
Mom thought her son’s efforts were cute, so she did not chastise
She went to the bedroom and returned to find a surprise

Jason had taken not one, but both, of her fresh-baked pies
She ran to the window, the situation to apprise
Mom saw wee Jason on a ladder built for a high rise
“It’s mine,” she heard him say, “I’ll be taking the biggest prize!”

To spoil her son’s moment, Jason’s Mom thought would be unwise
She laughed when she saw her son place pies for the snowman’s eyes
His snowman was worthy of first place, judges did apprise
But they had no dessert till sun caused the snowman’s demise
