Poem
As I sat in my yard watching crows caw a thought came to my mind. Did Poe really hear a tapping in his head? The raven at his chamber door really touched my mind. The feeling of being stalked, while being demised. It's getting dark, so I go inside to think about the morning, then a tale comes to my heart. Did Poe really have to kill that man? He was making good pay that young man was, and the eye took him over, and buried him in the floor. A disgusting act really, the floor and the the ripping. I go to bed with a thought in my head about the pit and pendulum. How did the man get there in the first place? What did he do to end up there? The pendulum slowly swinging downwards towards his big, fat, pot belly. Then a man comes to his rescue, but from where?! Then I awake from the nightmare in a pool of sweat, how long had I slept? Over slept of course, so I rush around. To the bathroom and the kitchen, then try and get a ride to town. To meet the one and only, Poe in the flesh. It's October 7, 1849, the train has just hit, and I come back to dread of his demised.
