Poem

~A New Beginning at Dusk~

Two people walking along the ocean’s rising tide
Singing a lullaby to the sea gulls as they kiss the day good-bye
Two people learning who they are all over again
And all the while knowing that their dreams are starting to make sense
Two souls intertwined from the origins of the universe
Two souls that were created to never be apart
I am the pollen and you are the flower
You are the chime in the wind!
Here we go again with another fresh start
The era of mistakes is past us
On the road paved from heaven
A road of sweet morning dew
I taste a piece of your bread unleaven and new
We hold each other’s hands
I pull the chain near the light bulb
You command the stars to stay on bright 
As we cuddle beneath the moon
Is this the way paradise begins?
Is this the New Millennium?
I am almost ready for something new
Now let me go and finish my task
I have a difficult job to do
I have to finish this life on a high note
Before I can open a new book
Allow me to make amends with all the crooked roads of my past
I can’t wave a magic wand and everything disappears
I have to go by the book
The Heavenly Book
I cannot skip a chapter to get to the point in time where I get you!
