Manufactured Lies It was sad when it was announced Nobody paid attention to how her name was pronounced The crowd was more pleased that it was over But to her, she felt as though the world still owes her. Noxolo was introduced as No!-Xolo Because to the world she lived in she always started war Stating truths that many chose to hide from Revealing reality that many chose to separate from. To her; the world was elastic Like burning melting plastic She was too realistic But to many, she was pessimistic. Her words broke dreams Sun-burned all our lil streams Teard apart all of life's seems With her, our fantasies found homes on beams. She let us know that motivation is sometimes false truth, That education is not the only tree that bears sweet fruits, That we might be pouring water on a plant with no roots. She made us realise that we go through the same process everytime we reboot. So maybe yes the world owed her Actions speak louder than words Violence is the only action they took towards her So rather stay tuned to that motivation. Moral of the story: Sometimes your honest opinion is not your best opinion because to some people "The truth hurts" and so they'd rather listen to manufactured lies(motivation) written down with the intention of gaining recognition. Noxolo believed in action more than words... Start acting!
