Poem
My, to be the last go round last breath of a journey's dream to find in one each filling need to picture them in every scene Is it really possible to love so deep so as to last while unreceived no gentle touch or proving glance left wanting for the motions dance I've heard of tortured souls that love the ghost of those who've gone away who spend their days remembering again and again a never ending replay Like vinyl records scratched and worn replaying a line you can't take anymore when none else seems to fit your heart like your favorite jeans when the seams tear apart Forever lost to live beyond the saddest grip still holding on a wondering still by day and night if their missing you though out of sight do thoughts of them rise with the dawn do you see the sunrise in the memory of their eyes is their smile captured in the morning light and by noon every thought inspired Does a sadness overtake you by pinnacle of day knowing no one else will move you that way when comes the dusk you ache for their touch and the comfort of twilight is never enough For the sunset slipped un kissed and all you felt was what it felt to miss the presence of the one who said goodbye believing in time you'd be alright What if you knew tonight by hour of midnight stroke your love was the thing they missed the most and missing it at times often encroached What vision do you think they still replay when memories come would they ever say... turn back the hands of elusive time to days when that one was mine Be brave of heart and stronger still chances are they never will though yet for them the same remains their missing you and sense of pain But my oh my to be the one the object of desire to be the soul who's left undone the heart of one so full of fire Unable to break their walls of denial thick as granite thin as dust so continues the madness cycle praying they'd relent the concept of "US" A grape will not grow on an apple tree A sprinkler makes no dent in a sea Though love is strong if the timing is wrong you can't make it right with a prayer or a song How long does tortured love hang on inclined by phantom beliefs Who sold them those rose colored glasses to perceive with such disbelief Just believe you say some loves will never let go never will I understand but this one thing I know... "The Twelfth of Never" ... A love that never let go {This was written for my friend who is a hopeless romantic. Some things were not meant to be}
