Poem
Rarely do I stop and think about the meaning of life. Something that is taken for granted daily as I am busy with work and being a wife. Rarely do I take a walk and stop to feel the breeze. Or notice how the sky is the perfect shade of blue, sitting high above the trees. Life gets pushed aside in the hustle and bustle of my day. It seems there is always dirty laundry to clean, errands to run and bills I've got to pay, Every single breath we breathe is a token of our health- The food we eat, the fumes we smell, the cards that we've been dealt. In the winter it's too cold, the summer's too hot, it's been raining for a week- No one is ever happy with themselves, there is always something else they seek. If you count your every blessings, no matter how big or small- You've got to release all those inner demons and break down all your walls. Life is just a blessing, we aren't promised tomorrow or next year- Just be thankful for another chance, live free and without fear. You see, life means everything to me, in every single way. From the ladybugs crawling in the grass, to watching new kittens play. It's the tingle of a warm shower hitting your skin on a cold winter's night. It's the family that always has your back even when you just aren't right. It's the love that fills your pumping heart as you kiss your lover before bed. It's the fresh morning coffee that awakens you from the dead. It's the laughter of a child as they run in their back yard. It's the chirping of a blue jay and the barking of a Saint Bernard. The little things that make up your life are precious earthly sights. Loosely throwing our lives away, when we should be holding it so tight. One day life will be no more and the memories will be left behind. Every flower, every bee, every single leaf will gone just like mankind.
