Just out of curiosity;
I've been wondering about all of this latest
animosity
towards each other.
Brothers and sisters,
sisters and brothers,
fathers and mothers.
Screaming and fighting,
fighting and killing one another.
Times of living and
    times of life;
times of excess and
    times of strife.
Times of good air and
    better air; reds and blues,
    pick and choose.
And a whole lot of people managing you;
    filming you,
    building you.
Guilting you,
    tilting you to the point of excessively 
    wilting you.
Stand by and watch, seemingly
so willing.
That's as far as I'm going, don't wanna create
any false provision;
it's just that I have this vision,
of an America like it
should be.
I can feel
your laugh...
and I'm sad.
Can I get a fresh class
with a little check and
some crass?
"The times they are a' changin' ".
You can just follow me;
thought "me" will set you free,
see...
a little trickery.
I'm kinda' just spittin' the truth;
kinda' tryin' to
stick it to you.
Kick it to you,
flick it to you,
so you can stick it to me
and give me some of that
gratification.
It's time for us to
take over,
time to get a bulldozer
and clear out
any disbelief...
time to become a voter.
Sigh of relief...
feel like I may have gotten my message across.
But my words mean nil
without any action.
Just try it,
I promise it'll give ya'
satisfaction.
It's about time to 
register;
time to be a legitimate affecter,
not an
illegitimate accepter.
So I ask,
a simple task;
for us to get out there
and make a change,
rearrange
the way we're doin' things,
or else
we'll continue to
be tied down by these
governmental strings.
