I look to the graves
Death is all around me
The second we’re born
We move closer to death
When the sun sets
This moon is awakened 
Yet we live our lives 
Focused on ourselves
We work to pay the bills 
While greed slithers in
Starting with the best intentions
Ending with no confessions 
Too tired for joy
Too busy for love
Always searching for another step
Ignoring the ones in need
What if we lived life
Thinking of the end
Would we think of the precious times
Would we slow down our lives
Smile at the homeless man
Hold out a helping hand
Because death is certain
If you like it or not
As you lay down to die
Will you think of work
Another bill to pay
Or will you think of God
And Jesus giving you His life
I pray that we all will see
A glimpse of Heaven
So we never have to
Go through Hell
