Poem
Split apart your ribcage, Unwrap me, for I’m left untamed Scrub away my filthy rage Feeling this shame that must not be named “Let it go! Let it go!” – easy for you to say Oh! Maybe I’ll let it go another day Just leave me be, so I can feed off of my dismay I spread my wings and attempt to reach for my dreams But, I’m such a loser…it’s not what it seems My self-esteem is broken My loneliness is a remorse that is unspoken Believe me...reflect on me Give me a chance…to experience cloud seven’s ecstasy Trust me…I know why I’m here, stranded in the middle of the wild, treacherous sea The treacherous sea describes the way I feel, churning with hardly any dignity Don’t fed me another spoonful of agony I’ll spit it out in envy…in displeasure… Let me see what’s in store in the future, promising amity My sentiments will be as unpredictable as weather Resurrect the delight, crawling in my veins and make me someone better Someone who deserves praise and someone who is mature If I can have three wishes, they would sure be: To release me from his ribcage, To help me be more emotionally stable, And to boost my self-esteem? What would your three wishes be? Follow your dreams and be free! Entwine with the emotions of the ocean Don’t wear that ugly frown You’re striking me down with bittersweet emotion (Bittersweet emotion…) Endurance and courage is the key to mere success Look at your life right now – you’re making so much progress So much more progress than what I’d do in a year Because you are special to me and you’ll always remain here You’ll always have a place in my heart Be no longer anxious, for we have the ability to tear apart Tragedy that has scarred us from the start When we first met, I knew you would be so dear to me You are a suave, tenderhearted angel that grants me pure happiness When you were weary, you rested on my shoulder, which made me smile with glee You are a tiger, so treasurable, but so full of rage and ambition, But I am attracted to a gal like you – you’re such a stunning genius I am sick of hearing those ruthless lies I would rather accept the truth, not discard it with resent Those tear-jerking goodbyes bug us like flies I try to shoo them away or swap them, but they’re persistent Don’t utter those tear-jerking goodbyes Don’t utter those cruel, tear-jerking goodbyes (Tear-jerking goodbyes)
