Poem
A stain will be left behind when the ordinary color of red bleeds There will be a mark of imperfection that it will surely leave Yet the blood of red that flowed on the cross from Jesus Christ Washes a sinful soul clean and gives the free gift of salvation unto eternal life Forgiveness occurs as you confess and call upon the Savior's Name A rebirth in God is now yours to claim Your past sins - He will remember no more You are a new creation in Christ - your fellowship with God is restored On April 30, 2009, through all of His unconditional love for me In His Infinite Wisdom, so unexpectedly, God opened my eyes to allow me to see myself - fully exposed - with nothing secretly hidden He showed me the care-free fruits of life I had eaten that I were forbidden Before me were the crumbling foundations that had been carefully built in my youth I saw the dishonesties that I boldly lived as truths Before me were my wavering footsteps as I carelessly took foolish chance after chance I saw the trust I had placed, not in God, but in mere mortal man Before me was the question of where I was going to spend eternity I saw the door opening for me to enter unto Christ so He could set my sin-filled soul free Because to save myself - this was something that never could be done I had to come to God, as I was, to receive salvation by grace through His Only Begotten Son God let me know I could not wait any longer, the time was at hand For another day is never promised to anyone in this land I confessed my sins and believed on my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ I surrendered to God's will and prayed for Him to change my life As I cried out to my Father in complete humility I finally understood the meaning of: Life is all about Him and not about me Although the straight and narrow road has not always been easy and is at times hard to bear It is worth it because I know while on it, with me, My God is always there I count my blessings because God did not have to, but He did give me enough time To truly accept Christ and have an extraordinary transformation of my mind I am grateful that the Holy Spirit was placed within me as a Comforter and an Intercessor I am living proof when you surrender to the will of Christ your life will be made better So, a joyful heart I have, as I walk with Him, on this path He has allowed me to tread I am so thankful to my Savior Jesus Christ to be washed clean by His blood - the redeeming color of red.
