Poem
Cinderella He takes my hand pleasantly in his and says meeting me is his pleasure. My joy escapes its hiding place in no uncertain measure. This is when life begins to demonstrate just one true treasure. His blue eyes captivate mine for a few unending seconds in time. What a gentleman. I'm unused to a man who treats a lady the best that he can. He's thoroughly enamored. I'm infatuated again. Charmed. Unalarmed. Unharmed. There's a gravitational pull in a most obvious way, for a most obvious reason. I remind myself that everything does happen in its day, in its own season. I watch a new legacy go outside and long for what the unknown has to hide. I can feel it in my every bone. I no longer feel the constant resonation of being alone. I've grown to where the winds of change have blown. A new life has a legacy of its own. The time of change has itself to rearrange. Life and time have their own exchange. No one ever knows what a day will bring. Their preconceived fantasies are received in the dawn of spring. It's like a song they never heard that their hearts insist it must sing. Perched on the edge of the mockingbird's wings. But they must decide for themselves who will be their queen and who will be their king. Be still and breathe in the air. You will find it all right there, without an effort or a care. But you will miss it if you don't take the time to spare. It could be right where you're standing, right where you're breathing, and it could be anywhere. Picture the beauty and the bliss of Cinderella on her prince's castle stairs. They seal their destiny with a fate-less kiss. He chose to chase and find her and she chose to let it come to this. It was a chance she forbade herself to miss. It was one simple wish, one single command by her prince's hand. To journey home to their rightful land. Spinning on wonders that never cease to behold an endless dream of love and peace. They let the destiny they chose win to open the doors that let them in. They took another chance on a love that they knew little of. The answer would never be no if they let their own will go. Hope appeared to be riding in a tiny chariot on the thinnest piece of rope. She could have denied her one and only freedom ride, but now she would know an illusion could never allow this to show. He smiles ever so wistfully at me like the prince who knew everything his Cinderella could be.
