Come with me and let us reason together
Let's listen to each other as a woman and a man
We are two joined together to love one another
But there's just one thing we need to understand
Even though I receive you just as you are
And even though you receive me just as I am
We must learn to change together to make things better
Without demanding our own way to be in command
