Moving on is one of the hardest things the human heart can do. When you've pushed something for so long, When you've believed in everything even when you felt it wouldn’t work, When you've given every part of yourself to the cause, Moving on doesn't seem physically possible. Everyday you remember more and more of what was, What made you feel so alive each and every moment it was good. Each time you close your eyes, you dream of it, You dream of smiles and laughing and the feeling you’ll always miss. You find yourself constantly thinking of it, constantly wanting to just reach out and grasp what it was that kept you going for the longest time. You miss every aspect of it. How it was to was to just be in the moment, How it was to embrace the good and remove the bad, How it all made you feel. How can you walk away from something you've fought for, something you once thought you had confidence in when it all comes to an end? How do you give up when its all you've known, all you've wanted? But its not a matter of how, its a matter of when. You will walk away from this long fought battle, You will give up on this thing you once wanted. Why? Because in truth, if it came to an end it never was meant to be to begin with. Nothing good ever demises. Nothing good ever walks away, You can’t push something that doesn’t exist anymore, You can’t hope for sunshine when all you’ll ever get is rain. And more importantly, you can’t hold on when what you’re trying so hard to hold onto has run its course, is no longer within your reach. It’s hard, oh dear, its so hard, but when things end, as we know everything must, move on. Move on when it hurts you, Move on when it feels as if you still have some fight in you, Move on when you know its what you’ll always miss, Move on so you know how it feels to be stronger. Move on for yourself. Do yourself a favor and move on.
