Poem
“In your eyes, Yes, in your eyes, I see an emerging paradise... Close but far life made you be, In a heaven so far away from me.” She sat there crying, On the left corner of her empty room, Her feelings burdened her, And loneliness held her tight, The weeping never ended, Only these breathless inhalations would interrupt, Her sad memories befriended, And burning tears would always corrupt, She lived in void, In a house all alone, She isolated herself from all the others, For she had trust in no one, Her sobbing went on for days, Leaving her breathlessly paralyzed, She never found the ways Of escape out of her life, She whispered to herself saying, “My dreams conceal my sad truth, And change themselves into happy, But they would always change…Into nightmares, When I confront reality…When I wake up.” Life separated her from her love, On the corner she lay like an injured dove, She was helplessly held by the arms of grief, His loss made her lose her belief, Sleepless nights of restlessness, A tired heart she held inside, She sat there imprisoned by her sins, Like a tormented prisoner, “Sarah,” She heard his voice whisper her name, “Sarah,” echoing violently in her head, Like a venom hiss of a snake, “Sarah”…”Sarah”…”Sarah,” It impelled her insane, She cried loudly, Seeing all these broken chains Of her tormenting love, She felt her blood freeze in her veins, Her desperation made her fragile, Hatred destroyed her life, She helplessly stood up, And her eyes tearfully Looked outside the window, Seeing the world submerged with rain, Contemplating the empty streets, Her thoughts pictured him, Holding a young-lady, Some one other than her… She saw him cover her with his black coat, Where she used to inhale his perfume… She shattered on the ground, Into broken pieces of glass, That drew his picture…
