We live behind chipped nail 
polish and smudgy makeup. 
None of us are perfect, and 
none of us are whole.

We let boys carry our heart 
away on their gallant white 
horses,
Completely aware that they're 
not our princes. 

We cry at romantic movies, 
Only because we know that 
that glamorous love 
Doesn't exist.

Our expectations are too high 
for our reality, 
And our hopes are larger than 
our dreams.

We often let our infatuation 
with boys make our decisions. 

Drama is the boat we ride
On our way to maturity, 
And jealousy is the iceberg
We can't avoid

Best friends are the people we 
call
When there's the littlest things 
that mean the world to us,
And we're dying to tell 
someone who cares.

We make big mistakes, 
Are we're all beautiful for it.
We all have similarities and 
differences, 
But we're all equal.

Our nail polish chips, 
And our makeup is never 
perfect.
We're girls.
And we're pretty amazing for 
it.
