(Potiphar's Wife's Flattery)

Come lie with me,
For the goodman of the house is not at home;
He is gone on a long journey:
He hath taken a bag of money with him,
And will not come home until the day appointed.
Come lie with me,
For I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry,
With carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.
I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes and cinnamon.
Let us solace ourselves with loves.
Come lie with me,
For thou art goodly and well favored.
Lie thy body nest to mine and be close to me.
No one will know of the stolen waters we drink,
Nor of the secret bread we eat.
So, hold me; taste the sweetness of my lips,
And see that my mouth is smoother than oil.
Take my peace offering;
Come lie with me.

Behold, my master hath committed all that he hath to my hand,
And there is none in this house greater than I;
Neither doth he care what is with me in the house.
He hath kept nothing from me but thee,
Because thou art his wife:
How can I sin against God?
Or why would I be ravished with a strange woman,
And embrace the bosom of a stranger?
Can a  man take fire in his bosom,
And his clothes not be burned?
Can one go upon hot coals,
And his feet not be burned?
How then can I do this great wickedness?
How can I sin against God?
For shall I be as an ox to the slaughter?
Or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;
Till a dart strike through my liver;
Or as a bird that hasteth tot he snare
And knoweth not that it is for his life?
A wound and constant disgrace most assuredly I would get,
And my reproach would not be wiped away.
For jealousy is the rage of a man:
Therefore, he will not regard any ransom;
Neither will he rest content, though I give many gifts.
How then can I do this great wickedness?
How can I sin against God?
