Poem

Why must he be so mean
and cause my heart such pain
from the words uttered in vain.
Why must he break my bones,
my heart and skin? 
Is he a weak man
or a cowardly lion.

I do all that he ask
but still I get cussed.
My heart breaks
every time he awakes
knowing my bones will break.

Can he not say he loves me
so I can have a smile 
not the pain inside me.
I tend the house
and children all alone
with out him showing any care.

Why must he be so mean
and cause my heart such pain.
I seem to toil in vain
to try and gain
his love again.
