Poem
A young son died in a car crash Who was a diamond to his family Though rough with a flaw and little rash But better be a diamond with fallacy. Than be a pebble without a flaw. The father had his son’s body consumed And laid him to peace eternally Preserving his ashes as a memory though The only remnants remaining to his gloom To console the family mentally. The grieving father thought over and over Never giving up the hope To get some solid remnants forever Though he knew, there’s no scope One blessed morning an idea occurred As he has preserved the ashes of his son He thought what after all what is a diamond, A chunk of coal that is made under pressure. His enthusiasm grew, he murmured 'it’s done". I am going to get back my diamond. To create synthetic diamonds What’s needed, is the carbon to flow Enough in the ashes of the father’s diamond As intense pressure and heat for a volcano. The family in grief, but with a hope That they will get his remnants In the solid form to cherish his memory They did get it fulfilling the hope Their diamond’s remnants Turned into Remembrance Diamond as treasury. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ **Based on a recent event** ============================= Date 7-1-14 Form: English Ode Dr. Ram Mehta Tenth Place win Contest: Any poem by Skat
