Poem
YOUR HEART WAS KING When I met you Your life began But soon Mine ended You asked for my flawless heart I gave it to you without thinking twice I protected you against your weaknesses And swung off shame that was reeking From your highly troubled past I fought your battles and breathed life To your weak lose lungs My green touch brought the world To your rickety bony feet I embraced your wildest fantasies Led you towards the land of ecstasies I cried your tears and injected your pain Upon my spotless shy heart Always giving a smile in all that hurt I adorned you with every bit of me Each of my kiss showed you how to live Each of my heartbeat showed you how to breathe Now let’s walk to the nightmarish memory lane When you first brought her home That day you completely crashed my heart I cried tears of the sea From that tick my body grew thin Episodes of naïve self delusions From the pain and stress Of ‘the return’ to your past life Sharing our bed with your catch Was a humiliation bomb that Exploded in my poor face I took a moment to absorb That painful energy that roamed In the atmosphere rubbing roughly Against my heart, sipping my pride Eating away my muscular faith Still I stood by you in your endeavors I believed you were somebody Worthy to deposit my future into I was wrong as my tumbling joy Came trembling down Erecting a thunder in my heart As the frightening huge pain Punched the glow out of me As you again brought an extra Of your catch home Splendid, like a model With glittering gold Upon her long thin neck Diamonds hang in her ears You stood so low Using all our savings For such a discounted thing Still this love was too strong so pain Grew horns and attacked in the wicked Of ways, his sharpened horns slashed Across my body to where my heart hide My lungs refused to breath and my eyes Hurled in shock as the wordless misery Stole my fluffy fantasies and dark naughty Smoke wrapped up all my ecstasies My heart was king My heart was your pride When I met you Your life began But soon Mine ended A challenge by Nic Fab to reply to his ‘Your Heart Is King’, hope my answer is properly around the trait of the topic nick…..
