Poem
The woman in the back blowing her horn She is in a hurry to go As I comes to a complete stop After the traffic lights turn yellow Thru the glass she showed me the finger But I paid her no attention She then start using obscene language That is too bad for this poem to mention My girl friend had just text she loves me And she was all I had on my mind And although I was driving in my car I was flying around in cloud nine The woman passes me on the right As the traffic lights turns green Showed me the finger again While still using a lot of obscene Some times at the traffic lights A lot of drivers seem to go crazy And I wondered how it was like before Traffic lights was introduce to society During the early horse and buggy days Traffic in the big cities was often heavy The police officers had Avery hard time Directing the intersections that’s very busy When police officer William L Potts OF Detroit, Michigan Had a brilliant idea to do something That would ease a lot of the problem So he wanted take the railroad signals And figure out away to adapt to street use With $37 worth of wire and electrical controls The first electric traffic light was introduce It was installed in Detroit in 1920 On Woodward and Michigan Avenue And his idea was adapted around the world That today makes driving easy to do The world’s first traffic lights came into being When traffic consisted of wagons and pedestrians The automobile was not invented as yet And at intersections were a revolving lanterns The lantern was illuminated by gas Red meant "stop" and green meant "caution." The traffic light was stopped on January 2, 1869 When it exploded and injured a police man Can’t imagine driving today without traffic lights This rude woman who curse me today Didn’t even have the patience to wait a few minutes For the green to give the right away Today people take every thing for granted We complains for simple stupid things Never appreciating the brilliant minds Whose inventions make our life’s so amazing The traffic lights is the most used inventions Some curse when it takes long to change Without it today driving would be a hell Without the “red, green and orange My girl friends just text me again She is the best in the whole wide world And I will always love her forever With all my heart and soul
