Please don't touch me, is what she said
As his large hands went up her leg
tears steadily rolling down her face 
wishing she was in some other place
he whispered, you smell so good
she held in the screams as much as she could
his cold fingers touching her body 
later he would say, didn't mean to hurt you, I'm sorry
it hurts, she say, as he lay her down
as he pushes inside her moving round and round
each time the minutes felt like hours
what was she to do, then he had the power
a little girl with the experience of a woman
to her it felt like a bad omen
someone you trusted that supposed to love you 
yet has done nothing but abuse and hurt you
living your life hiding the shame
thinking you were the one to blame
pretending when others are around
like what just happened didn't go down
She remembers taking a bath after he was done
crying softly, she was so young
she couldn't tell no one, he said she couldn't
she knew he had the power, so he knew she wouldn't
she hid it for so long, eating her up inside
low self esteem, correction, no self esteem, no self pride
she kept asking, what did I do to deserve this
later in life she cut her wrist
she didn't want to die, just wanted help
but that would be something she had to do for herself
She sought the God in her to be renewed and healed
This is the point where SHE is revealed
as you read on I know you will see
that this little girl grown, she is ME
I am grown now and have God in my life
He's helped me heal and there's no more strife
I am so blessed to be alive and not dead
I forgave my abuser and moved on instead
when I see him now he acts like he forgot
but I know to him I'm a forget-me-not
I didn't let him dictate my life's outcome
HE is the loser and I have won
