Poem
Looking for words, listening to rain, soothing my spirit, feeling no pain. Another place, some other time, living my days in a lost paradigm. The music floats gently through my space, the lines of my life, I slowly trace. No one else matters, nothing else exists, I close my eyes, cuz the darkness persists. I follow the story, as it could have played out, where time isn't time, and doubt isn't doubt. Cuz now I'm on a journey, so play along with my connection, and share with me, as I ponder with reflection. Allow me the chance to play with my head, and go with the feeling, which allows me to be led. The answers are hidden, behind my smile, I just need to sit, and be here for a while. Beauty is hidden, time don't wait, I see the hook, but still chase the bait. Happiness lingers, but necessity calls, when we climb the mountain, not everyone falls. Hanging by threads, I capture the passion, fleeting but stable, in it's own unique fashion. A moment in time, a scatter of pieces, so much love, and the joy it releases. Out of control, in my ordinary day, I brush it off, in my ordinary way. In darkness I stumble, in light I am blind, I hear the voices, all intertwined. Forever falling, forever freeing, forever questioning my sense of being. On the path, beaten or not, I tried to remember, but still, I forgot. Peaceful bodies, a quiet mind, A happy heart, and the joy it finds. Oceans apart, mountains away, it still exists, and that's why I stay. So meet me there, or someplace in the middle, give what you can, if only a little. A simple wave, a gentle smile, a single emotion to last for a while. A split second in time, forever in a dream in a dark lonely day, a single sunbeam. But reality strikes, and the clouds disappear, the timing becomes that which I most fear. The angers not mine, not this moment, not this time, to take a minute to dream is my one and only crime. Guilty's just in passing, compassion is what stays, I can't change time, or that which it betrays. Just a ripple in time, a moment reflected, a bullet dodged, a thought intercepted.
