Whenever I think of you I wonder what am I to do Standing on the ledge Leaning into the edge Arms unfurl Into another world Falling for the ground Soaring into the sound I smile A million butterflies Wing me ever so high Into a realm of dreams Into a calm of extremes A million butterflies Floating through the skies I speak your name I keep your flame A million butterflies Lay me down by your side Waving my arms in command A million butterflies understand They swirl and swoon away Like diamonds in the sun's rays I feel the softness of their breeze It sets my heart at ease I stare I look into your eyes of stone I see you here but am I alone Pale and cold is your hand Against the grander of wonderland Where flowers tower towards the sky Rainbows begin when unicorns cry Jewels sparkle as pebbles on the beach Everything you desire but out of reach You shake your finger in my face Your eyes inform me I'm out of place My soul's light turns to shade My spirit's flame softly fades Tears of red my eyes shed My heart empties from tears I bled I feel your hands through my heart My soul's light you turn dark Kissing me tenderly upon my lips Closing my eyes I feel the nip Of millions of millions of butterflies Millions of millions of butterflies Lifting me into their sweep They carry me upon my feet Swirling twirling into the wind Hurling me back to begin Pressing my soul to the ledge Pushing me from the edge Pulling me back from end Placing me within again I see Millions and millions of butterflies Winging dark the day's sky Millions and millions of butterflies Fluttering fluttering waving bye Between hello and goodbye That is where memories lie Fluttering fluttering waving bye Millions of millions of butterflies Into the gold of the sun Melting for their time is done Millions my millions of butterflies I shed a tear accepting goodbye Whenever I think of you Whenever I think of you I awake into a dream I awake into a dream From our first hello to our last goodbye Butterflies
