Poem
They always tell us.. A true friend will like you for who you are That they'll never leave you in the dark They say true friends are the ones that stick around when you've falling down There your walking stick when you've gone blind Your conscious when you've lost your mind Lost direction in life True friends are always there to help you find your way They never say goodbye or find a reason to stop caring And tearing your heart to pieces Would be the least of your worries because a true friend couldn't bare seeing you broken and dirty They wouldn't feel worthy if you felt worthless They. Would be colored purple and blue They. would be broken and bruised Because a true friend would be honored to be your smile To stay a while when everyone else is walking away They would be your reason to move forward everyday To keep moving towards your dreams No matter how hard life may seem There the ones that tell you to listen to your heart And set everything else apart from what you love From what you want to be There the ones that tell you Without dark days we wouldn't know what love is That without tragic times we would never understand happiness And in response I'm blessed to say this... Without you I would've never found true friendship. I would've never understood any of this I would've never found the strength to follow my dreams and make the best of everyday And with that I thank you for everything You've helped make things a little clearer You've helped me realize how to dream a little bigger And I only wish I could exchange the favor of everything you've done for me But all I can get out is thank you for opening my eyes to all that I've never been able to see
