Neither prey nor pawn
nor life before the awn
soul's bitterness conforms ~ forlorn
to mediocrity before the dawn!

Contentment strives to grace its mother's arm
I strive not so ~ objecting from within
I strive to nullify complacent win
in my demeanor, hope could live again!

While nuturing, begrudged is tilled by sin ~
I seek the straighter path, filled by chagrin.
It's emptying of the vein ~ the heart rescinds
and wait upon fulfillment ~ faith's commend!

Rewarding so, truth's narrowing by extend
the bearing's seal does function only lend.
No certainty, God's will to comprehend
the bravery of the call ~ discretion's bend!

Concert with fault's appalling, seek no end,
so strive . . . the minister's falling is contend!
