I look down at the carpet before me
I guess I’m the one to ignore
To ignore…face down on the floor
Don’t hit me – I’m sore
I don’t know what to say sometimes
I’ve committed too many selfish crimes
I am so afraid of the darkness…
Veiling my eyes…
The sun does shine, but I know
That you all care for me…it makes me smile with glee
You take me out of the abyss
The moon begins to dim and grow dark like a crow
I am so afraid of the darkness
His light does glow bright, but I show off His shimmering spirit
Tonight, you will play fair…
Tonight, we are a fine, fine pair…

Oh, shine on, pure light from the moon…there’s enough room

I look down at the paper before me
I guess I’m the one with this purple pen
I don’t know what to do, baby
But, I’ve been wondering
Where have you been?

Shine on, my little sunlight
Shine on like the dawn…boy, what a fantastic sight

I catch a glimpse of the ceiling lights
I look up at it for a second or two…
Ooh….ooh…ooh…
I guess I’m the one left behind…in back of the line…
I’m secluded from the crowd…lost in a multitude…
But I won’t make a big fuss out of it…I’ll have a positive attitude…
Commotion becomes louder…I’m pretty loud myself. Hah…
I’m lost in a maze of people of all shapes and sizes
I’m in a big crisis…I’m getting good vibes around you though
