Poem
Don’t hide I know you are flawed I know… You hide behind the imperfections Of your very soul Wanting the world to only see The beauty of your face The glimmer in your eyes You carry yourself with grace Beautiful in every way Suave Everyone in awe As you stand tall Confident Your outer beauty A cover A shelter in which you hide What lies inside But I see I see it all Oh baby, don’t hide Knowing your imperfection Just makes me love you more Your weaknesses Your needs You fears of being hurt Again Anxiety Having to be the man That is made of steel Not allowed to feel To weep To believe To dream Having to provide Strength Stability When you just need to be vulnerable A child Don’t hide I’m here Shhhh……I’m H e r e Come, let me caress you Embrace you Put your head on my lap Let me sooth the troubles away As my fingers play through your hair And my arm rests on your chest Feeling the rise and fall of your dreams The beating of your heart Messaging your need To be cared for To be freed Don’t hide Let it all out Let it go All that binds you Let it all show I can only love you more When you show your need For me… I’m here... Let my lips find yours Let me kiss away your pain Bathe your wounds With the oitment of my love Let me be your strength Listen to me.... Obey I want to find you To move you Command you Lead you where you must go Give me control Let it all go… Be weak in my arms For there you’ll find comfort I will pacify Let me rock you Hush now Hush… Listen to my song My lullaby Don’t hide When you sleep away the pain Here on my breast You will awaken…refreshed In control You will seek me I will be here Waiting to be found Ready to be the play thing That you need The toy you had to give up To become a man Play with me I will not hide… I will let you come Inside… Eileen Manassian Ghali
