I have been a fool for
all these years.
I've sat and let you
bring out my tears.

I have been your leaning
post.
Even though,you disliked
me the most.

I have given you support,
in your sadness,and
your sorrow.
Even though I might not
be here tomorrow.

I have kept quiet,when
you were in a rage.
But, now its time,for me
to turn the page.

I have sat around,waiting
for you to call.
Then you would just go
off somewhwere else and
play baseball.

I have cooked you dinners
that were always on time.
Then when you were late,
you would tell me,that
you were on line.

I have planned many a holiday,
only for you to tell me,you can
not stay.

I had so many plans for our
family,and that's no joke.
Only for my plans to go up
in smoke.

I have long since given up.
I'll just sit here now, and
play with my pup.

Someday, you will look
back,and wonder why it
tok you so long to get
back on track.

So son,Please don't
worry,I'll be just fine.
Living my life,out in th
pines.

You have always come to
me,for love and compassion.
Then you would go to your
dad,and the love he gave,he
would only ration.

Why can't you see,I love you 
and Sandi the most.
When it comes to your dad,
for the things he has done,
he will only boast.

Many times your dad has
told you,I was a bad mother.
But, in your dads lies,you
will only smother.
He was the one that chose
another.

You should know me very 
well,I can not lie.
I'll stand by my words till
the day I die.

Son, you really should not 
scream at me,as I am your
mother.
If, I wanted to hear that,I
would go to my brother.

I have been patient,Kind,
and considerate.
You don't have to treat me like 
i'm an illiterate.
