she was hot - like a menopausal flash
he was hard - like arteriosclerosis

limber lumbar but an ancient memory
a touch senile, maybe, a touch unsensory

and yet the sparks still sparkled
in eyes that cataracts encircled 

old flames popped from recollections
of wanton desired seductuous affections

desiring what's called dirty, before becoming dirt
flaunting flirty, hungering each other's desserts

s l o w l y they stood as erect as they could
gnarled hands came together, tactfully understood

it might be their last chance - last dance
last night lust - of their senior romance

while everyone else was babbling and talking
they quietly departed and away went walking

past the station where nurses hunched typing
past security, past the ornery old griping

out to the absence of society's luminescence
out past their own - perceived obsolescence

under sky, wisps of cloud, under far distant suns
they found clearing to finish, what nature'd begun

spread out a blanket, helped each other down
patiently, s l o w l y, made love on the ground

her breasts hanging low, her pubic hair gray
her craving for him to go all the way

and he, sight poor, gently reached out to her
and tasted her nipple, french-kissing connoisseur

she spread desire open to Mother Nature's all
he inserted desire, quietly moaned a faint call

and they both reveled in what life had given them
the desire to tempt - the acquiescence to be tempted
