Poem

What lies before you?
I see a stairway
that's much in decay
must I go today?

May I put it off?
and go another time
I don't know where it'll lead 
maybe to commit a crime

I really am so negative
why am I so?
think positive for a change
and life could really go

Now back to the stairway
it really looks rotten to the core
I may take a step too far
and fall through the door

Go on make a decision
I will go forward believing
that door will open wide
to me a prize it will bring

What, a prize you say
yes a lady of beauty fair
oh the splendour and excellency
such a one so very rare

A stairway to where?
please will you just go
if you don't knock and ask
you will never know!
