Poem
Today when I AWOKE, My house was filled with SMOKE. I fell off my BED, And bumped my HEAD! Then I proceeded to cough and CHOKE, I yelled to see if anyone else was AROUND! I heard nothing, not even a SOUND. I tried to stand, but I quickly fell back to the GROUND. I guess it was meant, for one to be low DOWN. But it was getting harder to maneuver DOWN LOW. I began thinking, about church YESTERDAY. When the preacher felt compelled, and convicted, with me to PRAY! He asked me? Have I been baptized, and quickly I said NO! He asked, did I want to be baptized? I said I had to GO. He said, what could be more important, than giving your life, to Jesus CHRIST! He looked the preacher, in his eyes, Then said, I’m not ready, To give Jesus Christ, my whole LIFE! The preacher said, Life Stands ALONE! Our life, was never our OWN. Then he said, This is the service, To bring in the NEW YEAR! Why not start it off right, help reach your PEERS? He said! “Maybe tomorrow”, I will give my life, back to CHRIST. The preacher said, “Maybe tomorrow”, your life might be too late to GIVE! The boy said, Sarcastically “well if that’s the CASE, I guess, it was never my life, to GIVE”! He then turned, to walk AWAY. To hear the last words, He would hear the preacher SAY. Tomorrow is a privilege, but never a MUST! Today is now here for all of US! Yet, it is an honor today, we even have BREATH. Tomorrow, may come where life as we know, it is now DEATH. The smoke had now quickly filled the ROOM! Even in the midst of his DOOM. A voice cried OUT! “Please my son, take the stair ROUTE”! But when he looked down the HALLWAY, He quickly replied, “no not TODAY”! The voice REPLIED “My son, go now quickly, before it’s too late, and you DIE”! But the boy said, But I see an exit over there, Which have no SMOKE. Then he laughed and said “no not TODAY” He then said, “Satan my life story, will not be your JOKE”! Well he did go against will of the VOICE, “But not TODAY” was his final CHOICE! Why put off tomorrow, what you could, and should do TODAY!
