Poem
Dark clouds covered the sky, it seemed like it was gonna rain.. But the sun was still out, yet inside felt so mundane Another close loved one taken away from us so soon. Nothing seems to matter anymore, not even the stars and moon. Departed so soon are the ones who mostly cared. The ones who understood our pain and our secrets that we shared. Each day we keep wishing it shuda been us n not them. Life just lost its meaning and this is something no one can mend. The irony in life is when they alive we take them for granted. And now that they’re gone, they are all we really want. Life seems abit harder and incomplete without them by our side. But we know they are watching over us and in our hearts they will always reside. People say in time we will heal, something which ain’t true. Infact time makes it more arduous and healing is hard to do. They say we over grieve and sooner or later we must move on. But that’s impossible as the ones we love are now gone. How do we comfort a person who has lost a close loved one? There are no right words to say and this is one battle that’s never won. Sometimes all we need is just good support, no words in-between. Silence can say a million things that don’t necessarily have to be seen. It takes a while to regain our strength and start to smile again. But deep inside we’re hurting so bad n it feels as thou we are going insane. Reminiscing with family and friends looking at old photographs. Memories of the good and bad times, sharing our tears and our laughs. I know this is a cliché that’s always said out a lot But don’t take those close to you for granted, for they’re all you got. Don’t leave things unsaid to the people you love. Resolve them now instead regretting it later and praying to them above. We may come from different races, cultures or places. But in reality we are all the same with different faces. We share the same sky, sun, stars and the moon. So love the people close to you before they are gone too soon!!!!
