Poem
Life shows us the things that we don’t really want to believe and teach us lessons that we often refuse to learn. Would be nice to question life and love asking why since the questions are so unclear and we are fear driven with uncertain things. Although survival has always been the key it doesn’t always open the correct door all the time. Time has its own agenda deciding things that are meant to be even though there is so much unexplained. I rather know things in plain English, with the discipline of a saint. Wise words spoken, just not always heard. Accept the good and bad from life and the people that we cross in this world which we question often because of disbeliefs are our own downfall. Trusting what he or she says doesn’t cut it. Look into my eyes and see the universe and my ancestor’s dreams that continue to burn. Fighting to survive; the struggles that we, as of right now, won’t be strong enough to bear. We are spoiled to the world and sometimes, at times, we forget things that are so important to us, we over look the needs and the wants that are more than we can also handle. We are blessed. We are not focused as people. We are losing parts of our mind and the soul falls apart as the heart slows down in pace. Slowed beats per minute and it’s not the sound to beautiful music. We are not what we should be, it seems like we want less important things in life. And the material things are the things that support our needs. Feeding our soul? Controlled by material things. Slaves to a society and poverty are the things we are part of. In which it’s not a black or white thing, it’s just a THING that controls our mind. Race separates us but we are the same. Call it what you want, you know better. We continue to say it’s going to get better but better starts with us. Better isn’t pointing the finger at others, blaming them for mistakes in the cases that we lack the understanding of love. Now love….. Most misused word used by people and abused just to get what we want, it’s not a need anymore. Who’s really better? Who can do better? Can it be known like the false hope for love in which greed wears the head and love would be the wolf in disguise? There isn’t any pride in this and WE aren’t getting any better. The sunrise has blinded our eyes and the spots we see are nothing but the truth. Our needs are confused by the things we want.
