Poem
So, what now, we bow down and deeply appreciate a few random lines scribbled down in haste what a waste of our time, you expect praise and cheer fame, fortune, recognition, a spot in the great hall of fame what a joke, stupid bloke, drink some water, choke leave us be, disappear, we don't want to see you anymore "I'm sorry but I don't want to be a celebrity, that's not my business I don't want fame nor fortune or a life in the spotlight I should like to help everyone if possible, Jew, gentile, black man, white"* Despite what you've been told, we are about to enter into an Age of Poetry, an Age of the Mind where words are given new meanings and we begin to see the world, ourselves with different eyes Freedom of information, thought, millions of people sharing ideas expressing their innermost desires, fears in many a ways, days melting into weeks as the mind seeks escape, rushing towards a state of union; awakening to the simplest of truths "I am the World and the World is me"* So, you see, all I want is for your mind to awaken with mine if not now... in time. The little engineers of my poetics working non-stop they always manage to bend the rules of the clock and arrange the blocks, stubs of lines and rhymes into something that makes sense, sense words with wit take your time, let them soak use them as a cloak that deflects, protects against random acts brought around by shrewd facts spewed by the tricksters concealed in our everyday life, whom very much enjoy laughing at our strife Arm yourself my brethren with intelligence and let's engage in tactical warfare protecting the fair, crushing those evil tricksters trying so hard to ruin our days Once the epic battle is won we shall hold a feast that will be remembered in days to come, rum will flow and our drunken selves will be astonished by the glow of fair maidens waiting to be asked to dance and be thrown in a state of romance, a glance into those alluring eyes...
