Poem
a couple of months ago I ran across this story about 911. the story is true and was told on the 700 club. it was about this New York fireman that had just retired right before Sept. 11. He went to help his old fire station against his daughters' wishes. The man always told his daughter (who is a born again Christian) that he did not really believe in God. Well, he perished helping his fellow firemen on that day in sept. But let me tell you what happened. God's Wonderous Way's Let me tell you a story about God's wonderous ways about September eleventh a tragic and awful day as the planes hit the towers and the news began to spread It became apparent that many would be dead An old retired Fireman watched it with dismay and remembered his daughter who was going to fly that day He frantically called her and found her safe and sound she missed her flight she said, and decided to stick around He told her he was going to help them if he could she tried to stop him, but she knew that he would She always worried about him, the chances that he took he did not believe in god, and did not read his book He made his way downtown, and entered into the fire He helped many people down but then begain to tire A few more he thought, as he saw a woman fall down Tired and heavy with child, He must get he to the ground He picked her up gently, down each and every stair they finally came out and he put her down with care He stayed and talked with her as he caught his wind Then he got up and left, and went back up again As she was safe and got out, the fireman perished that day he gave his life for others, which was the firemans' way the woman that got out, she heard about his death she had hoped he got out along with the rest She had her baby soon, and thought about that man she wanted to meet his family as soon as she can She finally found his daughter, and called on the phone soon she was traveling, to see her at her home As they met tears were shead, and the daughter shared her fear she had hoped he called out as the end was near The lady dryed her tears and told of God's Grace and love she told the Daughter her Dad's in heaven up above You see as they had rested, before they parted ways She told of God's glory, in the ruble and the haze He had got down on his Knees, took Jesus in his heart He was shining and smiling, as they went apart God's grace and love that day touched many a soul I'm sure theres more stories that we'll never know
