How do I rid these things
That are in my heart
That aren’t really thrilling
That want to be a part
Of all that is in me
In which you can not mix
Depression and happy
In which I try to fix.
You can only have one or the other
In which I prefer just one
Which seems so much further
Than the one that is not much fun
The one that I have right now
Is the one called depression
And I am about to throw in the towel
Because of all its aggression.
I hate having to deal with imperfections
All that which is called life
It has too many rejections
With an endless amount of strife.
I am reaching out to you
For the things I want to be
So please help me find the truth
So that I will be set free
I can not do this alone
For I am in need of thy help
So please throw me a bone
So that I can heal myself.
Oh! Won’t you listen to me
For I need your advise
Depression is all I see
So help me break the ice
I need more than just a friend
To be here by my side
I need you to the end
To help me clear my life.
My life is very full
But its so empty to me
It just feels so dull
So come and set me free.
I need someone to walk with
Down this empty road
Someone who is gifted
To help me with this load.
Life is just so long
I don’t know how much more I can take
I feel weak and not as strong
So help me for goodness sake.
So if you want to be that person
Who wants to help me now
This is definitely for certain
I will let you show me how.
