Poem

I am the puppet, the weapon, 
the tool in my hand. 
   The bucket, collection, of 
fools in this land. 
   I am the greatest of enemies, 
the best of best friends. 
   I am the demon within me, 
and the death at the end. 
   I am the sinner, the saint. 
The angel and man. 
   I am the dirt full of hate, on 
the earth which you stand. 
   I am your shepherd, your 
sheep. Your light in the dark. 
   I am the anger that lies, in 
the depth of your heart. 
   I'm the foul of your breath, 
when you call out my name. 
   I'm the dead rotten corpse. I 
am  all that remains.  
   I am the burden on hope, the 
goal without means. 
   The failure at life, the crusher 
of dreams. 
   I'm the crumbled foundation, 
the board with no nails. 
   The corrupt broken nation, 
whose state has grown frail. 
   I've no reason to live, have 
nothing to give. 
   I'm the old ugly troll, under 
every dark bridge. 
   I'm the child within me, who 
screams to be free. 
   Yet with all of life's envy I am 
cursed...as just me.
