i just want to write some new shii not on some i wish i was rich tip but on some if i ruled the world shii wouldn't be no school you had to pay for last time i checked knowledge was free ballers wouldn't "save" they money in rims no more grammas would rock minks down to the floor be at bingo drinkin forties and wearin timbs just cause they can and they old enough not to care and they grandsons would drop them off on saturdays to get a style for they hair wake up sunday mornins to escort them to church still letting them know they exceed the equivalent to a womans worth kids wouldn't run rampid through the ghetto and if they did mrs jones from down the street not that hotel cafe freak but mrs jones with the three boys and two girls would give that little butt a reason to stay still aint no babies havin babies just girls in the park with ponytails sweatin out they shirley temple curls in the summer heat no more little boys cursin' and stealin cars for they older cusin's that sell weed all these celebrities wouldn't be so rich they would only be makin money to support a cause of conflict but that's some new shii not some 2006 shii that's some if i close my eyes and make a wish shii and if God could only hear it and make it happen in a blink shii even if i ruled the world i still don't think i could change it cause you just cant teach an old dog new tricks! in the coldest winter ever, i learned to b-more careful skool of hard knocks taught me to be more street smart you see i grew up in the bronx but mommy made it disney world cause i was her only baby girl i still saw the misery and learned real early that it loves company so i should'nt talk to strangers or they'd put me in danger introduce me to the things i shouldn't know i learned to be a little lady not have my 14th birthday baby shower party my aunties already knew the code of the streets and i learned to decode the messages my mother taught me by kickin the cypher I tried to keep my ear to the streets and learn the stories of the lifas i wanted to be well-rounded so when i stepped of the curb i would still remain grounded i wasn't at the number hole or in the corner set-up I kept my head up I was lookin for the light at the end of the ghetto i wasn't gone let it take me in circles Cause i knew i had to do some new shiit cause in the coldest winter ever i became more clever and learned why mommy said don't go exposin ya gold in the ghetto wear a sweater
