I wish I could take your hand
And lead you through
The pathways of my mind
Come…come with me
The journey will be
Bittersweet
But I need you with me.
 
Hold on to me...
Some pathways are frightful
The way is rocky
And you may lose your ground
Keep your arms around me
Or the thorns may scratch you
As we hurry through this wasteland
Of my insecurities
There….Do you see them?
The monsters of my fears
Lurking behind the trees
Stifle my screams
with your warm body….
Hurry... Hurry…
Just another dark patch
And heaven awaits
On the other side!

Can you see the sun
Glimmering through
The overgrown branches?
Hurry, my love
Yes, we are almost there
The grey changes
to an explosion of color!
Hold on to me
Overhanging purple flowers
Reach down their petals
To caress our hair
As we keep moving
The scent of heaven
Leading our steps
As we search for
That special place
Where time stands still

Timelessness
Drink it all in
Lie down
Rest…

Through the darkness
