All That Remain (Titanic)*

rebel, rabble and rubble
now lie together
in this holocostic heap
of what 
once was
my heart.
appearing dormant
wretched cries for help--
questionably audible--
arise from within.
flotsum and jetsum 
are all that remain...
as the moonless night
gives way--to piercing
streaks of amber light--
stirring the lingering
            fog...
                  in my mind.
