Poem
Think about this That this globe may soon provide For eight billion people And yet has struggled like a tide To find some shore arable Enough to unsalt a trees root. Over all the years When we were but millions, truth Was we lived on edge of fears That we would starve to death Unless obey the mandate of some Who consumed all without regret. I was never so dumb. Forget about government reserves Forget about those with millions still Who else get what each deserves Why the sudden presence of your bill And these new phenomena we agree To, wanting to a part of our own death We identify with civilize misery And see not how the sun's about to set This world already has numbers That puzzle me. For among us Are 1,210, people that garners $4.5 trillion from the poor and dust And when I do the divide, please Use 8 billion as your denominator I use the poor, suffering and diseased And hope you see the surprising answer That if our distribution was just, and Work was fairly compensated, life Would be much better, crime in the land Would be just pathological; wars, strife Would be inexplicable, for everyone Would be a millionaire, and the strange Laws of supply and demand, for fun Would be demised. I believe in change That doubt ev everything I am told To believe - these invented theories That hold no explanation as to why gold No longer edge our burden economies. I am trying to tell you think, do not Yield yourself and children to the lie I will not die for greed nor an old despot Flicking his fangs to charm my eye. God has made enough for all, do not Believe anything but your will to choose Faith has long shown you a better lot Than this rubbish heap of lies and blues. Because we afraid our children will be born Because they are afraid our children will be many We keep postponing our liberation morn We see suffering where there is plenty And we starve our land of children, and we ignore The numberless multitude on the sea of glass Our passion are nets hanging ont the shore Our loneliness and suffering never will pass. Will demigogs of war fight China or India Will they ask them how have you fed so many When we starved your economy? Africa This is only the forgotten edge of history. Shall we rise one day and divide the loot Equally? You it is this fear why they fund Birth control and the misnomer of truth Called family planning, I am always stunned At the way they are kind to disempower us That is why only in God will I ever trust When my woman comes into my arm again When my body convulse like clouds with rain.
