Poem
What I Have Learned I have already lived long enough in this world. I had good times and bad ones too. I learned that everything comes to an end. I learned that you have to go through bad times to be able to appreciate the good. I loved once with all my heart, but my love was not valued at all and for that I could not love again, because the one I loved just broke my heart. But GOD gave me a family and a chance to see them grow up. I can't give them riches all I can give them is love and sometimes, some good advice. When you don't have nothing to give, all you can give is your love. I had the good fortune to have a good husband. He was not rich and did not give me luxuries. He gave me support and gave his love. He also gave me a place where I could belong. I have learned that life is like the four Seasons. In Spring, everything blooms, than comes Summer and everything is colorful and beautiful. Than comes Autumn and the colors change again. This time they are orange, red, brown, yellow and green and the Indian Summer sets in. Very soon the leaves on the trees start to fall. The trees become naked and they lose their beauty. Everything is dry. Than comes Winter and everything dies. They have lived their life for one full year. That's what I learned, that if we are born - we have to die. Between the time that we are born and the time that we die, we will live a life and whatever we do in that life, is what will reflect on us later and also in our family. I learned that nothing is free in this world. Everything has a price. If we do wrong - we will pay later. Even up to the very end, there will be a price to be paid. This is what I have learned... Life is good if we live it right. Written by Lucilla M. Carrillo
