Poem
The truth itself will befall upon you And your etched out wings In time In time Don’t look at me with that crushed look on your face any longer You’ve done this to yourself That lonely tear dripping down your face Shall remain lonely forever For you shall never weep in my presence You brought this upon yourself And may your soul be rendered in silence Alone in the whistling cold nights For the deed you’ve done requires payment Once live, now deceased you stand in front of me Awaiting the punishment for your lies And instruments of evil I turn my back on you I turn a cold shoulder to you You who has traded your soul for this wreck This mess It was never worth it Are you happy now Now that you can never shine You traded your soul for fame And now your name alone will shine without the real You behind it I toss my head back giving a hearty laugh before striding away from you Always And always it is that I would come right back to you And you knew this In fact you expected this of me But now I leave you in shock Take your name Your Fortune And fame to run with it chasing happiness But your legs will simply tire and crash Then you will find yourself alone In a red desert Where you will regret standing up at all Then you will remember in flashes Those lazy mornings when You would wake up yawning loudly, throw on clothes And walk right out of the house When your hair could look as crazy As you wanted it to Without people talking When every flash didn’t cause you to jump and cover your face Or pose and smile When your life was your own When your name was unknown And you could just be you Now that time has long passed And unfortunately There is no rewind button So rot in your unwanted fame And fortune Rot in your somber cold Dreamless life This time when you call for me I wont turn around Or hear a sound I cannot forgive you this last time There is no rewind button So its time for me to stop acting like it And press play in my own life
