if only i could take you back to there
a place where then was when 
and to carry you way back to then
i would transport you back to a time before now
in a  land where i discovered what delightfulness can endow

it was a land where laughter lingered
and a country where we clung to the concept of continuity
i'd like to take you back to that special time
a time when we didn't have enough time to make time last
a time when time sped by too fast
as our time, in synchronization, began to race
i'd like to take you back to that special time and place
a time when the clock didn't allow us enough time to embrace
a time when our hearts were able to keep each other's pace
i'd like to return you to that special and secretive space
a space where there was no space between our souls
souls united
aand excited
when our passion was ignigted
lit my an immense portion of peacefulness
where we were ignited, deighted and heightened by hopefulness

we had picnics in a green and graceful glen
and brunch amongst concersation and clover
if only i could take you back to there and then
long before our romance was over
