Poem

It is still there, even though it is not seen, 
Others many not see what it has done to my heart, 
They may not notice, that my heart is beating deeper.
The thoughts are just put away, hidden, from others, who may be able to speak about it, or wonder, what has happened.
To many questions, and not enough answers.
It still exists though, deep inside of my memory, it is stored there, for safe keeping. Store deep inside the mind.
The secret part of my being. 
That is not viewable from the outside. It comes out on days, when the wind seems colder,
the thoughts the hopes and the wishes, of what may have been.
It may not be spoke about, or even thought about by others. 
However, my heart had been changed.
Forever, a part was taken from me.
A part that will never be able to be me again.
A part that has changed to many questions, only one answer.
It is hidden for safe keeping, The want the need, the questions. 
You may see it. However, something seems lost, changed.
Some may not understand, they may not care too.
Days turn into weeks, It is still there, weeks into months, and months into years, its still there. For safe keeping I guess. 
A longing that is not clearly understood,
Not even to myself. However, it is felt. A secret, deep inside of my mind, for safe keeping I guess.
Wonder if others feel the same, who have held the same yearning and pain and longing. Maybe, they have it inside their mind for safe keeping I guess.
Possibly, I could look into their eyes and see they to have been forever changed.
And for a moment we could share the same thought, the same hope. I will keep you there for now, for safe keeping I guess.
